Here is a selection of student works from Summer ’10 Photo One class. There is likely to only be one more semester of this long-time CMC class. Nice job everyone. I see new potential in all of you as you move toward the next plateau of shooting awareness and improved darkroom skills.

Notes on photos:
Taryn G: I really like the tree stump…nice light and many different faces and shapes to be seen with some imagination. The image of her daughter just has a nice essence of childhood exploration and wonder.
Chris Keogh: These have such a great feel of the ’60s – especially the family shot…reminds me of a Polaroid. Although the feet are cut off, this image style has potential! (I had to remind Chris, at his 6’6″ height, he has to remember to tilt the camera down!)
Reagan Lawrence: I love the dog image due to the softness and shallow depth of field. The reflecting pool has a quality inviting the viewer to sit and relax; there’s even an open space like an invitation.
Larissa Vogel: Nice ability to photograph children. Ditto on cutting off feet, though and for the same reason! The image of the four children reminds me of images from Dorothea Lange. I like that they’re together, yet very clearly in their own worlds.
Teddy? Get me photos and I’ll post them!
