Judges nominated “Cross-Country skier” in the 4th Annual Black and White Spider Awards. The Spider Awards is an international competition drawing thousands of entries each year. Read on below… bwspiderawards.pdf
>>>> Congratulations on being a Nominee at the 4th Annual Black and White Spider Awards.<<<<
Thousands of images were received from 62 countries and your work received a high percentage of votes overall. Certainly an achievement, well done! The Jury were passionate about judging the images, spending weeks online reviewing entries before making their final winner and nominee selections. The awards could not have asked for a better group of professionals to work with. All credit goes to the judges and the photographers who provided the best images in their class. Congratulations once again on being a Nominee and we wish you a most successful photography year.
Best regards, Basil O’Brien Creative Director

More than one year ago I was forced to cancel my toll-free number when the carrier switched hands for the umpteenth time. I was told I would have to start paying an exorbitant monthly usage fee – and that I would not be allowed to take that number. I had no choice but to give it up.
Recently, I received a phone call from a very upset client shocked by the recording on the other end of the line! I had had this conversation in the past when someone dialed 800 instead of 888!
Yup, my former toll-free line is now a recording for sex lines!
So, if you’ve called this number (which has been published EVERYWHERE!) my apologies! For those of you who have suggested I do something about this, remember that the sex industry annually grosses in the hundreds of billions. Yes. BILLIONS. There is nothing I can do to change this number!
So, if you call this number…as the lady says,
“Please hang up and try your call again!”

On the last day before the wind came ripping through the Colorado Summit and stripped away the last of the fall colors I had a chance to photograph Colorado dogs, Odin & Makai. near Keystone, Colorado. I had previously met the dogs on the trail with their humans, Jenn and Sean. They, in turn, won one of my Colorado Dog Photography sessions at a silent auction to benefit L.A.P.S.

I captured these images Wednesday night at my buddy Brent’s place. I photographed Brent and Allison’s wedding at Ten Mile Station, in Breckenridge, in ’02. The little girl is Maya, 3 years old.
For those so inclined, the shot of Maya is at ISO 1600 shot in RAW. The shot of Brent and Allison is at ISO 6400!!! I’m amazed at how much the digital “noise” looks similar to the grain of Kodak Tri-X when I would push to 1600 and 3200 (using Edwal FG-7 and Sodium Sulfite).

I love photographing large reunions. I always make sure to take time with just the grandparents and get them away from everyone else. Meet the Palmers. I did this family photography session on Vail Pass, between Copper Mountain and Vail.

This was a small wedding I shot for the daughter of a long-time acquaintance. I photographed the wedding at a private ranch north of the Silverthorne Keystone area, right along the Blue River.
