On Memorial Day I received an email which has really stunned me.
"I was recently in the Denver International Airport, and was stopped by your photograph Dreamscapes - at Arapahoe Basin. I was headed home from my boyfriend’s funeral and the photograph touched my heart. As he was a skier and I am a snowboarder. He lived in California where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, and I had convinced him to come out here just this past winter for a ski trip in the mountains. Shortly after he left he was deployed to Iraq, and on April 30th he was killed in combat. I’m not trying to use this as my sob story, but you picture was so beautiful and reminded me of the last good memory I have with Tony…"
Mark A. "Tony" Wojciechowski earned the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (two awards), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (two awards).

I was so touched by her email and knowing that my photo will provide a connection for her that I am sending a copy of the Holga Toy Camera photo.
I recently discovered an interesting post about Sgt. Wojciechowski and wanted to add this to my blog. I guess my point is that through the strangest of ways, our soldiers touch our lives. This is from ESPN .
